We’ve had some unseasonably warm weather the last week or so, and I’ve taken a few pictures, but hadn’t got around to posting.

I cleaned buckets/leaves/spiky balls off the patio last Saturday because it was just too nice to be indoors. I found this little dude asleep under some leaves, so I took him over to the edge of the woods and put him under some leaves there.

The frogs were out over the weekend, taking advantage of the warm sun. All Southern Leopards in these pictures, but my bullfrogs are still in residence.

Hyacinths, miniature daffy-down-dillies and those goddamned lilies are making good progress. I dunno what happened to the mini tulips; they’re either late, or they didn’t survive the winter.

There’s still some cold weather coming, so my fingers are crossed, but both of my Diervilla ‘Kodiak Orange’ have made it so far, and even have little leaves starting to grow.

I predict good things for the Southern Leopard frog population in our pond this year. I actually didn’t notice there were two of them at first; I was originally trying to get a picture of “this frog” and another that was close by. When the other one hid, I got closer to “this one” and realised it was froggy sexytime.

The Bistro is slowly awakening for another year. I just hope we don’t get warm weather long enough for everything to really start growing, and then a cold snap that kills new growth!
