My puter bits are ordered and on their way! Dapper’s delayed, but that’s okay because it’ll give me time to play with the new hardware before I set up my OS in such a manner that I don’t want to break it. I don’t believe I can test-drive Compiz on Breezy (or at least not without a bit of work), but it worked just fine on the Kororaa Live CD with my current system and I’m keeping my nVidia card, so there’s no reason to think it won’t be fine on Dapper with the new system. I still haven’t decided whether to go dual boot with XP (dammit, Adobe, why won’t you make a Linux Photoshop!?) or do it in VMWare–we’ll see. So….yay for new hardware.

P.S. The Deskbar module in Gnome 2.14 looks like I need it.
