Thanks in advance

Thanks in advance! Tx in advance…or worse, TIA! Jesus, how I hate, hate, hate it when people say that! Why don’t they just write, “I already know you’re going to ID my (whatever) because I am godlike and you’d do anything for me, but I can’t be arsed to come back and acknowledge that you did, in fact, ID my (whatever), so…here are three whole words for you, since I’m already here. Goddamn, I’m so good to you!”

The next time I see any form of “thanks in advance”, I’m identifying whatever it is as either something venomous and terribly dangerous, or a species of house pest, or both….

“Oh my GOD! I hope you didn’t get too close to that thing. I know it looks like a butterfly, but that is actually the Greater Colourful Scale-winged cockroach, Blattus uranassholis. This species has very large fangs, neurotoxic venom, and is known to infest homes throughout the world, biting humans in their sleep. Once established, it is extremely difficult and expensive–if not impossible–to eradicate. I would suggest you just sell your house and move several hundred miles away–those things will kill you!”
