I’ve found the problem–“feck off” is not an acceptable Linux command! All this time I’ve been wondering why it wouldn’t work. What I haven’t found, though, is the fucking location that I have (supposedly) got Flash installed. I hate Flash, there is no hell hot enough for Flash ads, and I have the Flashblock plugin so I don’t see Flash unless I deliberately play it, but for some sites that I do want to see, I need it. It’s supposed to be installed and I finally found the plugins directory in Ubuntu (WTF is it doing in /usr/lib?), so all I have to do is copy the plugin and some other x-something file to my plugins directory, but I can’t find the damned things and a search turns up nothing except a downloaded copy of the fecking plugin setup in /home. Not helpful. Okay….big breath, and feck off is not a command the terminal can understand. Got it.
