B. is too cool! Like M., I “get” him; I understand what he’s saying. I like the European sensibility, and I like the way he lives with his environment instead of constantly trying to make it into something it’s not and was never meant to be. I think P. would probably like him, too. Why can’t we find any cool people around here? With a few exceptions, we have mostly dumb rednecks, good ol’ boys, black folks trying to be “urban” in a small Midwestern town and “Onward, Christian soldiers”. While I’m bitching anyway, it’s also too fucking hot. 102 yesterday with a heat index of 108, and I don’t even want to look at the forecast today because it’s already 83 and it’s only 0914h. The “rain” (HA!) was a shower that lasted only a few minutes, and nowhere near enough for my wild critters. We need two or three good days of deluge, goddammit! I wonder if a half-breed can do a rain dance? 😉
