I decided to get the live DVD of Ubuntu 6.06 so I could take it for a test drive and make sure it liked all of my hardware as well as Breezy does. It does–even the SoundBlaster Live 24-bit didn’t need anything from me, and video is fine with whatever driver Dapper decided to use. I still have to do my backups because I decided against upgrading from Breezy (I’ve installed stuff I don’t use, just playing around, so it’s as good a time as any to houseclean), but I’m anxious to get Dapper on here. It doesn’t look much different from Breezy, and I have no problems at all with Breezy, but I wanna brand new OS! 🙂
Just got the pictures back from Kodak, and they look better than I’d even hoped they would. They’re not expensive, and now I’ll be able to send pictures to M and she’ll stop nagging me. Yaaay! 😆
