Beethoven

Symphony No. 9 in D Minor, Op. 125

An die Freude. One of the most beautiful pieces of music I’ve ever heard. I love Beethoven, but this is a favourite; the power in the music, the way it really communicates joy. Beethoven died in 1827, 179 years ago, but people still know and love his music. Will any modern musician have that kind of success? Nope, because modern music is disposable, same as everything else today. Beethoven was abso-fucking-lutely deaf when he wrote No. 9, and it’s still brilliant.

Another shit day, so I need all the help I can get. “Kicking Bishop Brennan Up The Arse” offered a great deal of it.
