Miracles: The Holiday Album. The whole damned thing as loud as I can play it without disturbing Betty or the nice elderly couple across the street.
Why? Well, because it’s such a beautiful, sunny October day with such a lovely breeze that I thought I should open the windows and let in some fresh air while sharing some of my favourite festive tunes with that wonderful man next door. Why, it’s only the courteous thing to do, since he’s willing to share all FOUR SETS OF WINDCHIMES HE’S GOT HANGING FROM THAT GODFORSAKEN “LIVING ROOM” HE’S CREATED ON HIS FRONT PORCH. If you like ’em, fine–put them in your house with a fan in front of them, don’t force the whole damned neighborhood to listen to their incessant ting-ting-ting just because we might want a breath of fresh air. My God, it’s like living next door to a field full of belled cattle. Now if only he’d moo.
Next up, Barry Manilow’s Greatest Hits, Vol. II, featuring such classics as “Copacabana” and “I Write The Songs”. Then, perhaps a bit of a bagpipe festival–The Black Watch has always been a favourite. Noise bylaw doesn’t kick in until 2300h and by then it’ll be dark. Now where did I put those wirecutters…..
